Prints Giclee Shop, Fine Art Printers in Miami – How We Do It

Just how do we take an original painting, photograph, drawing or other piece of art and reproduce quality prints giclee that are so close to the original that they are nearly indistinguishable? Well I will tell you our secret. First we will decide with the artist on what medium they would like their reproduction images printed on, such as print on paper, print on canvas, or other materials available. Then we will ask if the reproductions will be the same size as the original, smaller or larger than the original. Once we have those basic parameters then we know how we must proceed to produce the image.

Generally the image is scanned on our fine art high resolution scanner to be reproduced at any of the suggested sizes needed by the artist. The key to a great reproduction is making sure that there is a person that can analyze the scanned output and be able to custom color profile the scanned image and match it to the color of the original. This process also has to match the material profile that the final image will be printed on. The one most important aspect of this entire process is the quality of the discerning human eye to see the very minute differences in color, shading and density to have a near perfect match of the proof compared to the original. Being artists ourselves we know just how important it is to have our original work match any reproductions we will ultimately make…so why should any other artist have anything less than perfection. Yes, that is how we do it.
